I just had to write about this adorable Cape Cod destination today on the 4th of July because it is so “Americana”. I love the vibe of this gay-friendly area. You get great food, nature, cute shops, and the beautiful backdrop of a Ralph Lauren ad without the pretension. There are a lot of events and festivals throughout the year. We go in early October when it is more calm and less crowded. It is laid-back then, but I’m sure it can get really lively during other times. I think it’d be fun to experience that aspect, too!
Our favorite activity was definitely eating Wellfleet oysters and biking along the beautiful Province Lands Bike Trail.
The bike paths wind through lush New England forests and past lovely beaches and pretty ponds. Bring your bikes in your car or rent from the many bicycle shops in town.
I make a horrible Cape Cod chips spokesperson, but I can testify that they are awesome biking snacks.
We loved our meals in P Town. If you want a romantic meal from a deck near the water, try out The Red Inn. It has a wonderful ambience and super fresh oysters.
I am excited just writing about Squealing Pig right now. The Smokey Seafood chowder and Tuscan fries (truffle and parmesan heaven) were divine! I would also recommend the Lobster Toastie. It seems to be a hit with Yelpers!
I can’t wait to return to you, Provincetown. Enjoy your holiday, everyone!
Beautiful photos, Erica! Makes me want to live in New England! That photo of you holding the bag of chips and water looks like a scene from the movie, Deep Impact. By the way, I came to this sight via Lifestyle Blogger Society. You’re a member!
Hi Chan! Thanks for dropping by! Better late than never…I don’t know how to use my own website. haha
