I have been wanting to share my enthusiasm for AmorePacific for so long! It is a Korean skincare and beauty company that is known for innovative ideas like using natural ingredients such as ginseng as a base for their cosmetic products. AmorePacific would later go on to “produce the world’s first skincare line based entirely on green tea.”* It was also the first to introduce the cushion foundation formula and technology to the beauty world.
I normally veer away from any eye gel products since they don’t seem to moisturize the skin very well. But this is more like a cream. It feels refreshing and leaves the skin around my eyes hydrated and less crepey. And I like that the antioxidant ingredients fight free radical change. If that’s jibberish for you, just know that it means that it’s fighting the signs of aging. YES! According to reviews, many women have ditched their luxury eye cream brands (think La Prairie and Yves St Laurent) for this more affordable one (and this is $85 !).
The Sleeping Recovery Masque feels rich and moisturizing but absorbs into my skin quickly. It does contain alcohol so be aware if your skin is sensitive. I always wake up with a more radiant, bouncy face. Yup, bouncy. As if my face were a baby’s bum..go ahead bounce quarters off it.
Ok, this. THIS. If you can only get one AmorePacific product, get this Treatment Enzyme Peel. I’m telling myself, too. Since I’m still on the sample pack. It comes in powder form which you measure out to mix with water and create a exfoliating lather. WOW. You get all of the benefits of exfoliating without the harsh consequences of it. I feel like I have such a clean, new face after using it. Seriously, read all of the reviews.
For years, my go-to eyeshadows have been from the original Urban Decay Naked palette. It has so many great neutrals with some options for color intensity and shimmer. However, my friend bought me the newer Urban Decay Smoky palette, which is a 2015 Allure Best of Beauty winner. The packaging and colors are beautiful, and I like that this is getting me out of my comfort zone: I actually try to do more smoky eyes!
I have hyperpigmentation, and this NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is the only concealer that I use to cover up my sunspots. Perhaps I’m just not skilled at camouflaging blemishes, but any other concealer I used would look obvious, refuse to blend, or rub off as soon as my powder blush touched the concealer. This product has great coverage, is super buildable, and has staying power.
I use this amazing Mizon Black Snail All in One cream under my sunscreen and on nights I don’t use the AmorePacific Sleeping Recovery Masque. It’s weird, because it has a thick, snotty consistency but actually smears onto the surface of your skin as a light layer. I’m always so shocked by how nourished my skin feels after such a thin application, especially after a night of sleep wearing it. Not only does the snail mucus provide moisture and healing properties, but the addition of 27 plant extracts truly pampers your skin.
I’ve been traveling a lot for the past couple of months, and this tin of solid Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter from The Body Shop has been my carry-on companion. I don’t have to deal with liquid restrictions or spills. And this stuff gets everything off! Including my waterproof mascara.
Well, those are it, guys! Let me know if you have tried any of the above products, and please do share your current favorites!
