Did you know that you can de-puff eyes and reduce dark circles with potatoes?
Cut two slices and place over eyes for 10 minutes. Potatoes are astringent, so they can help decrease water retention and therefore, puffy eyes. Their liquid starch contains an enzyme called catalase that can help lighten dark circles. Sometimes you see it in the over-the-counter skin lightening products – appearing as an enzyme called catecholase. You can also wrap up a bit of grated raw potato in something like cheesecloth or gauze for more contact to the surface of your eyes.
